Ray:
Thank you for your response to my query. I'm suprised
I receive one so quickly.
Elanson and Cordelia Ward are my great great Uncle and Aunt.
Elanson's brother Marquis Lafayette Ward is my great grandfather.
I am very interested in any and all information on this family. I surley would like a copy of the article on the Ward family. Please let me know how much it will cost for a copy.
I beleive Elanson and Cordelia and family moved to KS with
Marquis Ward's brother in-law Abraham(Abe)Grover and his wife Dolly (Abbie). Abe and Abbie lived in White Rock, Republic Co., KS. Elanson also had a sister Almira Ward
who married William Henry (went by Henry) Turner in IL
and moved to KS about 1883.
Would the great grandson of Elanson and Cordelia know
any thing about Elanson's parents and Cordelia's parents.
I know Elanson's parents are Hosea Ward b. Abt. 1800 MA or VT. married Rachel Churchill January 5, 1825 Pittsford, Rutland Co., VT. Lost Hosea Ward after 1830 Essex Co., NY.
Found Rachel and Children in the 1850 Census in Orleans Co., Gains Township. His mother Rachel, is in Quincy,Olmstead (Olmsted) Co., Minnesota in 1860 living with
Elanson's youngest brother Stephen. He has other brothers
and sisters. If there is any way possible, please let the great grandson of Elanson and Cordelia know I am very interested in the Ward family history.
Thank you again for answering my query.
