She was born December 26, 1916, at Belleville, Kansas, the daughter of Charles H. and Rose (Barton) Liggett.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, with Rev. Shawn Baird officiating. Inurnment will be at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Gardner was a homemaker. She was a life member of the Eastern Star, a Past Matron, and served many years as Secretary. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Herington. She graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1935.
She was preceded in death by her husband Forest H. Gardner, and her son Lowell "Buzzy" Gardner on June 14, 2004. She is also preceded in death by two (2) brothers, Lawrence J. Liggett on May 5, 1955 (from an automobile accident at the age of 29) and Charles Glenn Liggett in infancy on November 23, 1926, (2 days old); and her parents.
Memorials go to the First Christian Church of Herington and may be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS, 67449.

Thanks for your help.
