When my gr gr grandfather died in 1909, his obit mentioned a son George Nelson said to be in Logan Kansas. Now I am not sure if that was meant to be Logan, Phillips Co, KS., or just somewhere in Logan Co, KS.
This George Nelson was born in either MO, IL, or IND. in 1850-1852 to Josiah Nelson (b.OH) and Dorcas Lamirah Denney (b.NC). It has to be no later than 1852, because his mother was dead in March 1852 and buried in Knox Co, IL.
I don't have subscriptions to any paid sites and can't find any info on HeritageQuest Online, so wondering if anyone has access to any more local info that might show him listed as a land owner, or if he had a will filed somewhere, cemetery info, death/obit info. I'm pretty desperate at this point.
