With Cullen's help, and additional research, here is what I have learned: Annabelle McAuley Dyer was the daughter of [Erving?] Cassius McAuley and Margaret (Mollie) McMillian McAuley. [Sometimes misspelled as Mauley or McAnley.] She was born June 1892 in Kansas. She married Earl R. Dyer in Lyon County, Kansas in 1920, and in that year they were living two houses away from her parents. Earl Dyer died July 13, 1950. Also in 1920 Cassius was a house painter, Mollie was manager of the telephone central office, and Annabelle was a telephone operator. Cassius McAuley was born in April 1864 in Illinois, son of Duncan T. McAuley [Mauley.] Among children of Cassius and Mollie, in addition to Anna Belle, was: Chester C. McAuley was born abt. 1900 in Kansas. He was not married; suffered from M.S. and died in Kansas. Duncan T. McAuley was a United Presbyterian minister, born abt. 1826 in New York. In August 1863, he represented St. Louis Presbytery at the 6th Annual Meeting of the Synod of Illinois. In 1865, Rev. D. T. McAuley became pastor at Americus, Kansas, and remained two years. The United Presbyterian Church of Olathe, Kansas was organized November 10, 1866, with fourteen members, by Rev. D. T. McAuley. In 1871, the Presbytery of Garnett appointed him to visit the Kaw Tribe to explore establishing a Presbyterian mission among them. His father, whose name is not yet known, was born in Ireland and his mother in Scotland. Mollie was born May 1827 in Illinois; her father was also born in Ireland and her mother in Scotland. Among their children, in addition to Cassius, were: George C., born abt. 1852 in Illinois James T., born abt.1855 in Illinois Sarah L., born abt. 1874 in Illinois [According to the 1900 Lyon County census, there were 6 living children. The other two must have been grown and/or living away from home.] Notify Administrator about this message?
