He married Barbara Murdie c1882 probably in Kansas as she was resident there in 1880. Susequent censuses show them in Wabaunsee Co. Barbara died 18 March 1934 in Wabaunsee Co and he was still alive then. One daughter Agnes born 1884 married Clair Rutledge and had 2 children Elizabeth B c1912 and Robert T c1916. Clair died 1951.
