I am a descendant of James and Susannah Epley through their daughter Abigail who married Emanuel Snyder (nee Schneiter, the Swiss spelling; great-grandpa felt that they should change to American spelling if they lived in America). I have not come across an Ella Wagner Epley in my research. James, Conrad, Benjamin, Adam, Peter, John, and Washington all moved from Centre Co., PA to Stephenson Co., IL with their mother Christina (Grater) Epley. Their father John Epley died in Centre Co. as did their sister Annetta who reached her teenage years. Their sister Caroline married Henry Gentzel and remained in Cenre Co., PA. After Conrad died James and Susannah moved to KS and Conrad's widow Catherine (who was Susannah's sister) moved to Cass Co., MO just across the Kansas border.
I know there was another Epley in Kansas, John Epley, a blacksmith, born in OH. I have friends from KS who are descendants of him but they really haven't researched him. He has no connection with mine that I know of.
