Steven:

It appears Benjamim and Mary might have married in Jackson co Kansas. Mary is listed in 1880, as a servant at the Jane Pope residence in Jefferson Twp,image 2, age 16 b. in Ky as were her parents. In image 9, is a Minnie Perry age 18 a servant in another household, also b in Ky as were her parents. It could be they are sisters, and have lost the parents. B.Clark Nelson and his parents are listed in Jackson Co. Grant Twp in 1880, age 28. He was probably born in Hancocok Co Illinois, where his parents were in 1850.They were most likely in Kansas Territory by 1860, but I can't seem to find them. A couple of older sons not listed at home in 1870, were Christian A.,3 in 1850 , and John J.,1 in 1850. Luckily I have the old family pictures the biggest share identified, a few that were not , but it seems they might have been just friends. I'm always preaching to others to write on the pictures! You did not say if you wanted me to send the census records.
