Emily Perkins died later that year, on 22 August, 1930. Received her death certificate in the mail, and it states that she died of cervical cancer, and is buried in Wichita Park Cemetery. Son Wyatt B. Perkins was living in Green River, Wyoming at the time.

Mildred L. March (1914-KS) was the daughter of John Robinson March (1883-KS) and Ethel Mae Perkins (1892-IL).

Ethel Perkins was the daughter of John W. Perkins (1860-NC) and Emily R. Burleyson (1868-IL).

Thus Emily R. Perkins is the maternal grandmother of Mildred L. Bowlby.

Mildred and Richard Samuel Bowlby gave birth to a son within two days of Emily's death: Richard Lee Bowlby. The couple later had a daughter named June Bowlby.
