Hi Sue ... George could indeed have been the son of Millard and Rose Ivey Vanderford of Winston County Alabama. This family included 7 children about 1915 when the family migrated toward Wichita Kansas. I have a photo including George, and he appears to be about 8 at the time. There were more children born in Kansas.
I have no info on George after he was grown. However in 2003 I visited with a brother and sister of his still living. Would be pleased to share my info, just email me at the the indicated address.
