Norva Adolphus McClurg
I have the following information on the McClurg line. If this helps someone, that is good, if you could help me fill in the blanks, THAT WOULD BE VERY GOOD!
Norva Adolphus McClurg was born August 15, 1868 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa and died March 30, 1941 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado. He married August 22, 1891 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa to Margaret E. Decker. He also married Etta Sophia Marsh May 10, 1904 in Newton, Harvey County, Kansas.
Norva is the son of James Hiram McClurg and Rocella B. Taylor
Margaret E. Decker was born February 22, 1868 in Jefferson, Green County, Iowa and died December 3 1902 in Newton, Harvey County, Kansas. She is the daughter of John Henry Decker and Lucy Ann Gates.
Children:
1. Lucy May McClurg (my husband’s grandmother) who was born September 16, 1892 in Jefferson, Green County, Iowa and died January 17, 1970 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado
2. Claude McClurg born 1895 in Jefferson, Green County, Iowa and died September 123, 1903 in Newton, Harvey County, Kansas
3. Donald Flabious McClurg born May 13, 1898 Jefferson, Green County, Iowa and died Feb 1964. He married Velma Abdill on May 25, 1935
4. Harold McClurg born May 13, 1898 in Jefferson, Green County, Iowa
5. Robert Lyle McClurg born August 23 1901 in Kansas and died in Oregon. He married Lois Opal Murphy in July 31, 1920.
James Hiram McClurg
James Hiram McClurg was born February 1, 1847 in Cass County, Missouri and died Feb 2 1924 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado. He is the son of John Henderson McClurg and Philena Dodge Shears.
James married Rocella B. Taylor on December 24, 1865 in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa.
Rocella B. Taylor was born February 12, 1850 in Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana and died April 20, 1941 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado. She is the daughter of Joseph Taylor and Mahala Elizabeth Carson.

5. Joseph Asbury McClurg born September 9, 1876 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa and died October 16, 1913 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado. He married Lucy Isabella Black on February 7, 1900 in Kendrick, Green County, Iowa
6. Estella Margaret McClurg born June 1, 1878 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa and died December 22 1911 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa. She married Charles R. Black on March 4, 1900 in Bristol Township, Green County, Iowa
7. John Arthur McClurg born March 12, 1879 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa and died June 13, 1944 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa
8. Effie Florence McClurg born August 7, 1883 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa and died Mary 21, 1881 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa
9. Ethel Mahala McClurg born October 26, 1883 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa and died December 23, 1969 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa. She married Edward George Monthei on February 19, 1908 in Ripley, Iowa
10. James Lloyd McClurg born January 15, 1888 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa an died June 21, 1959 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado. He married Martha Mary Rhodes on September 23, 1908
11. Grace Philena McClurg was born December 13, 1889 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa and died 1975 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado. She married Lester G. Anderson on December 23, 1908 in Scranton, Green County, Iowa.
