John Calvin Specklemire/Spickelmier

I am looking for John Calvin Specklemire and descendents and ancestors. I have seen Specklemire spelled many, many ways, but will go with the one in my Grandmother’s Bible.

John Calvin Specklemire was born 1838 in Hendricks County, Indiana and died May 16, 1880 in Achilles, Rawlins County, Kansas. He was married twice 1st Ann Weir Berry and 2nd, Charity Mullen. Charity and John were married September 13, 1863 in Yell Township, Boone County, Iowa.

John is the son of Aaron Specklemire and Jane Dollarhide.

Charity Mullen was born May 12, 1838 in Ohio and died February 25, 1906 in Achilles, Rawlins County, Kansas. She was married three times- 1st William C. Crooks, 2nd John Calvin Specklemire and 3rd James Peter Hill.

Charity is the daughter of Benjamin Mullen and Elizabeth Mizer

Children:

1.       Thomas Richmond Specklemire born April 8, 1866 in Henderson, Mills County, Iowa death date unknown. He married Hester Estelle Yaryan on January 2, 1894.
2.       Della Ann Specklemire born April 9, 1868 in Mills, Henderson County, Iowa and died September 17, 1929 Pueblo, El Paso County, Colorado. She married James Bruce Doyle on October 3, 1886 in Achilles, Rawlins County, Kansas
3.       Narcissus Specklemire born 1869 in Boone County, Iowa and died 1880
4.       Dora Cleo Specklemire (my grandmother) born November 1, 1871 in Boone County, Iowa and died August 30, 1927 in Delta, Delta County, Colorado. She married William Franklin Doyle February 19, 1887 in Achilles, Rawlins County, Kansas
5.       Nora Phoebe Specklemire born November 1, 1871 in Boone County, Iowa and died 1880.
