My Grandfathers real family

I am in search for information to Davorens in the Levenworth Kansas area that had farms there. My grandfather was adopted by the family there to work on the farms between 1884 to 1900. He was born in Levenworth in the year 1884. I want to gain information on the family he lived with and obtain the real name of his parents (believed to be Bitner). He did have a sister that was adopted by a family in Pueblo, Colorado.
