In the 1880s, the now republican government of France decided to give an allowance to the former insurgents or their families. Sadly, Campdoras had died in North Topeka, Kansas, in 1881, and his widow, Eliza Reader, couldn't adduce any marriage certificate. Nevertheless, are there any descent? Any trace?
