Campdoras fled from France in 1851

A French Navy surgeon, Marie Antonin Eugène Jacques Campdoras (born 6th September 1825) took part in the 1851 insurrection against Louis Napoléon Bonaparte, and had to go into exile in the USA.
In the 1880s, the now republican government of France decided to give an allowance to the former insurgents or their families. Sadly, Campdoras had died in North Topeka, Kansas, in 1881, and his widow, Eliza Reader, couldn't adduce any marriage certificate.
Nevertheless, are there any descent? Any trace?
