John W. and N.S. Summers were early Liberty settlers. It is believed Mr. Summers operated the livery barn after Roberts left. He was a laborer. His children were: Bill, Sadie, Mary, Fred, James R. (Jim), John and Amanda. There was a J.W. summers killed in the war, but it is unknown whether it is John W., or one of his sons. Sadie married a Blewett. Not much could be found of a Chester R. and Dlla Beeching Summers.
