I need help with the 1857 State Census for Linn County in Kansas. I have a lead that Jefferson Barbee is recorded in that census but I have no access to such records here in Oklahoma.
I have found his widow in ther 1870 Federal Census for Linn County, but have found nothing for Jefferson or his wife, Polly, for 1860.
This leaves me a littloe perplexed as to what become of them between 1857 and 1870.
So, please, could someone in Kansas take a look at the 1857 census for Paris Township in Linn County and see what is recorded on Jefferson. Would be much appeciated. Thank You. Dave -B.
PS If you could find this family in the 1860 census, State or Federal, it would be doubly appreciated, and I'd be glad to buy your lunch.
