My ggrandfather Edward Clinton Kennedy was born in Doniphan Co., Kansas in 1864. His parents Augustus Kennedy and Narcisus Frogge Kennedy lived across the river in Andrew Co., Missouri. It looks like his mother visited family to have her first child.
I'm looking for information on the Augustus and Narcisus Kennedy family living in Platte, Andrew Co., Missouri and am posting in Kansas hoping to find the Kennedy or Frogge link that has some information on the Kennedy-Frogge family.
The 1880 Census for Andrew County Missouri lists husband Augutus (Augustus) Kennedy b. 1840 Indiana and wife Narcisus (Narcissa?)Frogge Kennedy b. 1841 Indiana with son Edward Kennedy b.1864 in Kansas and daughter Annie Kennedy b. 1867 in Indiana.
Narcisus Frogge's father was born in KY and mother born in VA.
William(?)Augustus Kennedy's parents were both born in Indiana according to the census.
Augustus Frogge and wife Sarah Frogge lived just south in Washington, Buchanan Co., Missouri. Sarah was born in Missouri, but both of her parents were born in Indiana. Augustus Frogge and Narcisus Frogge Kennedy were both born in Indiana and both of his parents are noted to have been born in VA. Augustus Frogge is 45 in 1880 and Narcisus is 39. I wonder if they were related?
