Three newspapers were published in that time frame. The Kansas State Historical Society has the microfilms available for interlibrary loan. Here is a link to their newspaper seach page...... http://www.kshs.org/library/news.htm Just enter the city, county and 1897 for the start and end dates to get the newspaper names and microfilm numbers. Note that one of the papers appears to be double listed on the results page. I also suggest you take a look at their ILL policies from the link on the seach page.
