Vojtech Benda was born in Hamr, Trebon, Ceske Budejovice, Bohemia and died before 1863 in Bohemia. Anna Maxa was born in 1816 in Lutov, Trebon, Ceske Budejovice, Bohemia to Thomas & Catherine Kucera Maxa. She died 22 Dec 1906 in Lincolnville, Marion Co., KS and was buried there. She married John William Korbel 18 Feb 1871. It was his 3rd marriage. He was born in 1805 in Bohemia and died 13 Jun 1898 in Wilber, Saline Co., NE.
Vojtech & Anna's children:
1) Katherine Benda was born 5 May 1843 in Trebon, Bohemia; married Ignac Urbanek in Chicago, Cook Co., IL and died 18 Jul 1897 in Pilsen, Marion Co., KS. She and Ignac had six children--Josef, Marena, Katerina, Jan, Ignac and Anna.
2) Frantisek/Frank Benda was born 25 Nov 1845 in Trebon, Bohemia; married Marie/Mary Franta in Jul of 1869 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL and died 28 Sep 1934 in Grand Junction, Mesa Co., CO. He and Marie had four children--Anna, Alois/Louis Joe, Julia and Adela Marie "Lillian/Lilly".
3) Johanna "Jennie" Benda was born 18 Aug 1848 in Trebon, Bohemia; married Jacob Korbel in May of 1867 and died 18 Jul 1923 in Swanton, Saline Co., NE. She and Jacob had five children--Mary, John Henry, Albert, Barbara and Frank E.
4) Alzbeta/Elizabeth Benda was born 12 Nov 1850 in Trebon, Bohemia; married George Ledvina in Oxford Junction, Jones Co., IA and died 25 Feb 1905 in Oxford Junction, IA. She and George had five children--Frank, John, Joe, Mary and Ed.
5) John R. Benda was born 20 Jun 1852 in Trebon, Bohemia; married Katherine Rozen 22 May 1873 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL and died 25 Oct 1911 in Luray, Clark Co., MO. He and Katherine had a son, Clarence Hiram Benda.
6) Matej "Mike" Benda was born 21 Oct 1858 in Trebon, Bohemia; married Mary Stika 10 Nov 1880 in Pilsen, Marion Co., KS and died 9 May 1937 in Lincolnville, Marion Co., KS. He and Mary had five children--Anna, Fannie, Marie, John Louis and William J.
