At the residence of the bride's mother in south Leon last Thursday evening, occurred the wedding of MR. JOHN AKES and MISS FANNIE GARDNER, the ceremony being performed by Eld. H.H. Hubbell, Pastor of the Christian Church, in the presence of a few intimate friends.

The contracting parties are both well known in this vicinity where they have spent all their lives. The groom is a popular young man, endowed with great business qualifications. At present he is engaged in the portrait enlarging business at Severy, Kas., having a number of canvassers in his employ. The bride has been one of Decatur County's most successful school teachers.

MR. and MRS. AKES left Sunday for Severy, Kas., where they will make their home. The Reporter joins with many friends in extending hearty congratulations and in wishing them much joy and happiness.
