I'm not sure that I can help, but here goes. My 2g grandfather was William T Holmes (1846 to 1916), who had two living sons , William and John Alva and two living daughters, Sarah Florence and Louisa E. William and his family lived all over the four state AR, KS, OK and MO area. I have not been able to follow the family of younger William (b. 1870) past the 1900 census when he was a young widower. He appears to have remarried shortly after that census and was know to have been in Delaware County OK in 1917-1918. He seems to have moved around to other places during previous years. I am also beginning to learn about some distant Holmes cousins who also went to KS at the end of the 19th century. If it seems like any of these ring a bell, write. I have Holmes family hsitory for this branch back to the first Ho(l)mes in America.
