Florian Freund reported to be born in west Prussia; married Caroline unknown; emigrated to USA
1842; staunch Catholic religion.
One known son Joseph Freund, Sr.; born in Germany 1842; married Barbara Dehling on
17-Apr-1865 in Milwaukee, WI; died 4-Feb-1926 in Milwaukee, WI.
The Freund family was Catholic & disowned Joseph sometime after he married Barbara, a Lutheran
girl. So Joseph, Barbara & son Peter moved to Missouri, where they bought a farm near Kansas
City. They eventually lost the farm when grasshoppers ate their entire crop for 2 successive years. The family moved back to the Milwaukee area sometime between 1886 & 1891.
There must be other siblings! Any information greatly appreciated.
