From my look up request - searching for more information on any of these family members who lived in Wellsford, KS. Also for anything on Charles Merrick Starr who lived there for awhile before relocating to Indianapolis, Ind.
I found Emory M. Eastman Capt. buried in the Haviland cemetery. I do not have a date as yet. The book I found this in gives no dates, but I am going to Haviland later to day. I also found this information.
"printed Jan. 3, 1907 Capt. Emory M. Eastman, an old and honored soldier of Wellsford was buried in Haviland cemetery Monday. I also found these Eastman's don't know if they can be of use or not. All of these are in Kiowa County, Kansas Married June 18, 1890 Oscar L. Eastman age 20 and Clara Burton age 17 m. Dec 25, 1900 Henry E. Eastman age 26 to Florence Beatty age 19. Henry is buried in Montezuma., Kansas. m. Jan 20, 1901 E. M. Eastman age 65 to Perina Balfour age 48 M. Sept. 14, 1909 J. H. Combs. age 29 to Luvina Eastman I found no Starrs. Did this Starr live in Kiowa county? (look up on internet geokay@midway.net)
