MINICK, ANKENY, HASHAIER, ELLIOTT, COSTNER, HOLLIDAY
I’m seeking information on my Great Grandfather Jesse E. Minick (Minnick) born approx 6/8/1875, died about 1911 in Melvin or Melvier Kansas. Jesse was married first to Mary Ankeny of Derry, PA on 9/9/1894 my produced one child, Floyd E. Minick, my Grandfather. Mary was hit & killed by a train and Floyd was raised by his Mother’s sister, Ida Henriatta (Ankney) Pershing b. 1/22/1870, d. 1964. Ida was married to John Pershing both of Derry, PA. Jesse left shortly after Mary’s death, married Nellie Hashaier, (b. 7/10/1883 in English Lake, IN) on 4/27/1904. Jesse & Nellie produced 2 children, Grace May Minick and Edward Paul Minick. Grace was born in Melvin, KS on 5/28/1906. Edward was born 10/10/1908 in Melvin, KS. Grace May or Gracie, went on to marry Arley Elliott on 2/14/1926 and produced at least 1 child, Ada Maxine Elliott. Ada Maxine was born 10/12/1929 in Compton, CA. Arley Elliott was born 1/17/1907 in Lincoln, Nebraska, died 10/14/1961. As far as I know, Edward Paul Minick married Vera on 10/1/1937 produced 2 boys. Vera died in Spring of 1983, Edward never remarried. Ada Maxine Elliott married Ned (?) Costner on 5/28/1947 producing 4 boys. They divorced in 1959. Ada Maxine went on the marry Clyde Holliday . From the info I have, Clyde adopted 3 of the boys, Randolph Steven (Costner) Holliday, Reginald Scott (Costner) Holliday, & William Dale (Costner) Holliday. Ronald Douglas Costner went on to live with his father, Ned Costner. Randolph Holliday (or Randy) was born in Compton, CA on 5/24/1948. Reginald Holliday (or Reggie) was born in Lynwood, CA 4/22/1951. William Holliday was born in Lynwood, CA on 3/2/1953. Ronald Costner (or Ronnie) was born in Compton, CA on 11/16/1949. Ronald never married and died in Long Beach, CA 0n 2/5/1990. Reginald married Vicki or Nickie on 8/12/1978 and produced 2 girls, Kellie & Leslie. Kellie Holliday was born in Upland, CA on 12/6/1979. Leslie Holliday was born in Upland, CA on 7/29/1981. William Holliday married & divorced and produced one boy, Dale Holliday b. 7/12/1981.
To the best of my knowledge the above information is correct and was transcribed from a hand written document from on of my relatives.
