I am looking for information on Robert S. Baird married to Lucy Jane. They lived in McPherson from ap. 1870 to 1900. Their children were:Mary Ella, Ida M. Robert L.,Wm.,Albert, and Guy. Lucy and Guy were in the 1900 census. After Guy married shortley afterwards they moved to Ok. Robert S,vanishes.It is believed that Robert S. and Lucy seperated about 1880 or so. Robert L is my grandfather and I know his whereabouts but looking for his father Robert S. I know he was born in Brown Co. Ohio,1834, moved with wife to Clayton, Il, then to McPherson. But who was his father? Ida married a Orville Carper in 1885 and had a son Orlan b 1888. They were both teachers. The 1900 census has them living in Mound Ridge. Does anyone know the Carpers? Thank you
