Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

James B. Duncan's father was Marquis DeLafayette Duncan and his mother was Rhoda Williamson. James was born near/in St. Joseph, MO. Rhoda Duncan only lived a couple of years after her marriage to M.L. Later M.L. was appointed by the government as assistant agent at the Otoe Indain agency in what is now Marshall county,Kansas. In June 1868 he married Sarah Anne Miller (She is my Great Great Grandmother). M.L. passed away June 25,1903, and is buried at Blue Rapids, Kansas. I have the obituary of M.L. Ducan that I would be happy to share.
