I am not related, but did a quick look up on the newly released KS Census info:

I found the following Bromwell family in 1915 Blue Rapids Marshall Kansas (Kansas State Census)

John Bromwell 46
Geneveive 15
Carl 15
Evadna (Spelling?) 13
George 11

I found a Mary Etta Mullender (spelling?) at the aprox age as yours living in Waterville, Marshall KS in 1885 (Kansas State Census:

John Mullender: 57
Jeanette 53
John E 22
Lillian 18
Mary Etta 14
