Yes, Home City is 6 miles west of Marysville, a quick drive...actually I worked there last summer... anyways...

Was the store that your ancestors owned a gas station by any chance? The only buildings still around from days gone by that aren't homes are a gas station and the elevator. There is one or two diners and that's all except for a few homes (maybe 10 streets), a couple gas stations, a ball diamond, and the railroad tracks.

If you can give me a little more information, I can see what I can dig up for you, if you are interested.
