Schmidt family

I am looking for a Tobias B. Schmidt 15 June 1842 - 16 Apr 1911 married to an Eva Nachtigal (Nightengale) 3 May 1846 - 21 Mar 1923. Tobias obituary says he lived near Carlton, we have checked many cemeteries for his burial site. The closest we have is the Morning Star Cemetery, under a bush. No idea as to where he is buried. All we have for documents is his obituary. Any records anybody would have on him would be outstanding.
I do believe his wife Eva Nachtigal outlived him for several years and returned near her home in Lone Tree Township, near Canton, and Galva.
His father was a Benjamin Schmidt. These Schmidts were part of a Polish Russian Mennonite group who immigrated to the US on the ship Vaterland. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Linda
