I am searching for ANY information on Ellsworth ROBINSON and his brother, Eli, who lived in Lincoln, KS, in 1906 according to a newspaper article in Pomeroy, Meigs Co., OH. They came from Meigs County, Ohio, the sons of Lewis ROBINSON. I am writing a family history and need the descendants of these men. Here is what the article said on them:
The next [person I visited] is Ellsworth ROBINSON, who came here (i.e. Lincoln, KS) single in 1884, married a Miss Jennie LATTO and in 1891 and has a family of four children, three girls and one boy. Mr. ROBINSON is one of the largest business men in the county, owning and running a store of implements and hardware, 48 feet wide and 120 feet long, the best room in the city. He also owns five elevators, two in this county and there [sic three] in adjoining counties. He took me through his elevator here. I found 17,000 bushels of wheat stored in it. He also has a farm of 240 acres one and three-quarters miles from the city, which is run by his bother [sic brother], Eli ROBINSON, formerly of Meigs. He is assisted by his son and daughter, he being a widower. Mr. E. ROBINSON is feeding 85
head coming 3-year-old steers which will average 1,200 pounds each. He aslso had 60 head of mixed cattle, two or three good teams of horses. He is wealthy.
