I know that the Rice family migrated to Nebraska prior to Aug 1890 as George filed for a Civil War pension there on 7 Aug 1890. Prior to 1896 they migrated to Benton Co. Arkansas((a daughter(Bessie L.) was born in AR in 1896)). George passed away in AR in July 1909(based on the filing for a widow's(Martha) pension on 2 Aug 1909). In the 1900 census a son Mark D. Rice is found in Cherokee Co. KS.
