Recently I called the Leavenworth National Cemetery to find out the death date of my great uncle, Luther Martin, and also if he had been in the Old Soldiers Home. The only information I received was the location he is buried in the Leavenworth Cemetery. They said they had no other information.

Since I am trying to send away for his Civil War records, I need to know both his death day and if he ever lived in a home for soldiers and where. Is there any other source where I can find this information? I do know Luther was born in Ohio between 1831-33 and applied for a pension in 1890.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Robbie Wright
