Seeking ancestry information on the family of Samuel P. & Margaret (Casebier) Russel, who lived in the Tonganoxie, Leavenworth County, Kansas area in the mid- to late-1800s and possibly early 1900s. They married on July 4, 1869 (not sure where -- possibly Iowa). Samuel P. Russel was born in Indiana around 1841. His wife, Margaret Elizabeth Casebier, was born in Iowa in 1853.
Samuel may have briefly lived in Southland Township, Muscatine County, Iowa, in the late 1850s. His name appears on the county census for 1860. He may have served in the Civil War. No difinitive records have been found.

The Russel family owned the Pacific Hotel in Tonganoxie, Kansas in the late 1800s-early 1900s.
I have a photo of the family circa 1899, and a photo of family members in front of the Pacific Hotel.
I welcome any information that you may have on related Russel ancestors and descendants!
