Re: Geo. W. Wolf was buried there

My copy of that cemetery's index indicated that Geo. W. Wolf's date of death was April 24, 1906. He is buried in the Leavenworth National Cemetery next to the V.A. grounds.

We have two National Cemeteries in Leavenworth County. The other is at the Fort.

His gravestone should show the branch of service and unit data. It might show the dates of birth and death. I live in Leavenworth.

The index, file card, and the stones themselves sometimes contain errors. A relative of mines birthdate was a few days off and his death date reflected the date of the burial transfer permit, and not his 2 day earlier death date.
