Nancy, could you please post or send me via email a short summary of this Hanigan family? I have the basic lineage, but like to add family stories and historical notes about a family. I am currently working on a third volume for Labette County and like to add personal notes from familes. Of course you would be given credit for it.

I'm not sure where you read anything about Lucinda Goldsmith. She was Lucinda Barr who m. James L. Goldsmith. The really large Goldsmith stone at Lake Creek Cemetery is for James and Lucinda. They were the parents of John B. Goldsmith who married Ona E. Graves. They too are buried at Lake Creek!

The book "Early Settlers" has several interesting notes about the Graves family. This same book also has a photograph of Lockard School, 1905. Two of the students are Frankie Hanigan and Alta Hanigan.
