Thank you for your reply. I simply thought that maybe since you are in the Edna area, you would have tidbits to share on these families. George Hill is my GGgrandfather, I beleive his brothers Elijah and Ol(Aul?) live in the area also. I've heard rumors that his father and the boys moved to Edna from Osceola, MO. Jacob Forsyth my GGGgrandfather. Yes, he was in the Civil War served in WI.

Also, buried in the Edna Cemetery is Granville William Chewning. I have been unable to positively identify his grave, but I believe he is buried in a plot next to his son, Frank Chewning. Ella Chewning, his wife, is probably buried next to him. Granville is a Civil War vet as well. I have copies of most of his file. I would like to positively identify his burial site and have a proper military headstone placed on his grave. Maybe some day......
