I am currently abstracting Civil War Pension records for soldiers who settled in the southern part of Labette County. At this point I have identified five men who listed their address as Kingston: Samuel E. Ball, John W. Davis, Leray Reed, Howard Cook, and George W. Sluder.

Do any of these relate to your family? Are you interested in any particular thing about this village?

I am also currently trying to reconstruct a history of the Village of Cecil which was southwest of Bartlett Ks. Mostly I am using the data in the Civil War pension records to do this.
