The following is from the book Diggin' up Bones Part Two by Betty Barnes and published by Heritage Books.


OSBORN, MILTON - (Lt. 1, Blk. 39, Sec. 1) Milton Osborn was born in Keokuk, IA, March 8, 1846, and departed this life February 26, 1937 at Lakin. His wife preceded him in dath in 1916. His daughter, Mrs. Nettie henry of Oakwood, OK, survives. He also leaves tow sisters, Martha Morgan and Sarah Smith, both of Rossville, KS; six grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funerial services were held at the Nash & Davis Funeral Home. Rev. Glen W. Palmer, Methodist pastor of Deerfield, was in charge. Interment waas made in the Lakin Cemetery.
