Hello,
This is my first posting here because I think I found a long lost great uncle who lived in Shawnee Mission,Johnson Co. IN., and died according to the SSDI in October of 1968. He was from Michigan, and that is the state that issued his # before 1951. He was born on July 5, 1898. I wondered if there is anyone local that could do an obituary lookup for me. I am from Michigan, and don't have any plans to come to Kansas any time soon. His given name was actually Albert, but he went by "Bert." Any family information you can find would be great. He was a widower in 1930, which our last record of him in Michigan. But since Michigan issued his SS #, that means he probably was here until the early '40's. Any help out there would very much be appreciated!
