MaryLou. thanks for the message. I have been doing a lot of map/etc searching and found 2 Wild Horse Creeks in Jeff. co. They are not connected so not sure what. Info one the one that runs close to McLouth comes from Leavenworth co. and runs into Nine Mile Creek. Still did not find '...Falls'; perhaps that was just a local name and not official. It is such a small wide creek that may not even be any more. The house itself was of rock and set on hill up from creek. I have 1899 Union twp map that shows the Albro and Goucher farms (and others, of course). I understand they sold alot of the sorghum syrup. Any info I can give let me know.
In the 1950's Grandma and Grandpa lived at the Hiway 16 curve where Leavw'th and Jeff. meet. We lived in Jeff. county. I think they had originally wanted to buy the old Albro property, but it wasnt for sale.
I know there are a lot of Frenchs' there, but have never connected them to ours. frances
