Topeka Capital Journal November 9 2002:
Oskaloosa ; August Lee Yocum, 72, Oskloosa , died Thursday Nov. 7 2002, at his daughters home in Oskaloosa. Mr. Yocum was a production worker for the Owens-Corning Co. in Kansas City Kan., for 25 years before he retied because of faiing health in 1974.
He was born June 20 1930, in Seneca Missouri, the son of August Lee & Bertie Reman Sr. He graduated from High School at Wyandotte Oklahoma, and moved to Oskaloosa from Lawrence in 2001. Mr. Yocum attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Oskaloosa. He married Joan P. Anderson on Sept 14 1956 in Kansas City Mo. She died May 3 2001. Survivors include two sons Tommy Yocum,Ellsworth and Richard Yocum , Westwood, a daughter Ohyllis Newell Oskaloosa, 10 grandchildren and 2 great granchildren.
Services will be at 3 pm Sunday at Barnett Funeral Home . Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Oska;oosa. Visiting will grom 2 to 3 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home.

August Lee Yocum III of Fairland, died Sunday Feb 15 2009, at his home., He was 49. Mr Yocum was born Sep 6 1959 in Kansas City Kansas, to August and Joan ( Anderson) Yocum. Survivors include two sons Sean Lee Yocum and Jeromy David Hayes, one brother Richard Glenn Yocum, and one sister Phyllis Yocum. Graveside services were held Tuesday at Wyandotte Cemetery, Billy Friend officiated. Arrangments under direction of Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
