Source: "The Meriden Message" Newspaper Date of Newspaper: Friday, February 20, 1925 Page: 5 Title of Column: "City and Country News" -Miss Vivian Rogers entered the eighth grade Monday. -Paul Berg is suffering from an infection on his hand. -Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rogers have moved into the property they recently purchased from L. D. Warner. -Miss Edith Jones is able to be back at her school duties after an absence of several days due to illness. -Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allen and Mrs. L. A. Green attended the American Legion play, "The Village Lawyer" at Oskaloosa Tuesday evening. -Mrs. Gladys Hasty has been ill at her home in Topeka from an infection of her face. She was not able to meet her music class last week. -Charley Ivers, who has lived in the Oskaloosa and Ozawkie vicinity for many years and is quite well known in Meriden, is very low at the hospital in Topeka. The Neal Stanley family were summoned to his bedside Tuesday. -The Ladies Coterie of the Methodist Church presented their play, "The Rag Carpet Cuttin' Bee" and "The Burglar" at Ozawkie Wednesday evening. The majority of the east rode the motor over and in order to accommodate the crowd the west bound 2-car motor was held for the return trip.
