I am looking for any available information on a George S. Mair said to have been born about 1847 in Australia or England, who migrated to the U.S. His residence in the United States was found to be in Mahomet, Champaign County, Illinois. He enlisted into the Illinois 154th Infantry on February 15, 1865. Married, on April 14, 1883, to Mary T. Baker in Champaign County, Illinois.

Died on May 24, 1891 in Atchison County, Horton, Grasshopper Township, Kansas.

Any information on him, and his family will be appreciated. jamesmgray@bigpond.com
