1880 Kansas Census has a James A. Smith ,in Douglas,
Jackson co., Ks. age 27 ,b. in Mo.abt 1853.m.
Missouri Smith age 18 ,b.Mo.
His parents listed as born in Ky. & Mo.

Same Census has Martin B Smith ,in Douglas ,Jackson co., Ks.
age 23 ,b.1857 Mo.. m. Tabitha E. age 17.daughter Rosa
A.,age 8m,Ks.
His parents are also listed as being born in Ky & Mo.

There is listed in 1860 Mo. Census a family of Smith's
living in Jefferson, Daviess co., Mo.

The person who sent me this Mo. census had a hard time
reading the first name of the father.
She put it as
Homer Smith age 36 b. Ky
I believe his name might be Hiram/Hyram Smith age 36,b.Ky.
Mary Smith age 26 ,b. Mo.
Elizabeth age 9
James age 7
Martha & Martin age 3
Mary age 6 mos
All children born in Mo.

Could this Smith be our lost family?

I do have proof that James and Missouri Smith are my
husband great grandparents.
Just trying to find the rest of the family.

Thanks for any information.

Kathy
