Mathew [one "t"], husband of Sarah George d. 17 Nov 1879, aged 75 years, 4 mo. 21 days; buried Soldier Cemetery, Soldier, KS. Also in this cemetery: "Anna, w/o W.R. George, 28 Jul 1865 - 18 Sep 1919"; "F. Marion George, 1855-1930; and "Annie L. George, 1864-1938" [these last two on same stone]. From my book "Monumental Inscriptions from Jackson Co., Kansas, Cemeteries". It would be very unlikely to find an obituary in a local newspaper at this time period, but you might run it by Anna Wilhelm at alwilhelm@holtonks.net
