Kay, Your chances of finding an obituary for anyone in 1892 are going to be slim; at most, a few lines about the deceased. Did he receive a pension for his Civil War service? Or did he apply? If you don't know any of this, the Kansas State Historical Society has G.A.R. records; perhaps you can find out from those records what branch of the military he served in, and if he served in the army and you find his company, etc., you can check his service records or possible pension claim at your nearest branch of the National Archives. . . I think you might have better luck finding an obituary for Matilda or Sidney. Write to Mildred Francis, Jackson Co. Historical Society, Holton, KS 66436, to see if she can help. Allen
