Thanks so much for this information. I think my next step is to try to locate an obit for this David M. Hedrick. At this point, all information leads me to the conclusion that the parents named two sons the same thing. I don't think it happened in this case, but who knows! Perhaps I don't have the correct parents for these two David M. Hedricks! Maybe they were cousins, etc. I do have an obit for the David Myers Hedrick who died in Sonoma County, CA. and it doesn't list parents. David M. Hedrick was born 26 December 1828 and David Myers Hedrick was born 10 August 1830. The mystery continues but I will figure it out eventually. Thanks again for your book information.
