PINEGAR - Empire area

I'm trying to find more information on Earl B. PINEGAR. His social security record has him born in Kansas and the 1920 census has him born in Oklahoma. In 1920 he is living with his grandfather (Henry) and other relations in Empire, Harper Co, Kansas. I am trying to find more on his parents. It is quite possible that his father was killed in Quinlan, Oklahoma in 1904 when Earl B. very young. Many of the Pinegar family lived in Oklahoma along the Kansas/Oklahoma border. The 1920 census family does not include his mother. Would like to find more about his father who we believe is named Elmer and his mother whose name we are not sure of but possibly Mary. I cannot find Earl or his mother or his grandfather in 1910 Census. I cannot find Earl after 1920 until his death in Elsinore, Riverside County, Calif. in December 1971. He got his social security card in Oklahoma. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Mike Peterson
