I recently came upon a paper my Grandfather had written, concerning his family and their migration to Texas. The lineage begins with JOHN FIELD New York State, no mention of county or town. He had two brothers, ALBERT and PRESTON. JOHN married a woman with last name of WOOD and migrated to Ohio, close to Columbus, children to this union, WILLIAM, OLIVER(froze to death there in Ohio) OLIVETT, JASON, WILSON and KATHERINE. Later all except the deceased OLIVER went west to Indiana, then to Illinois, Nebraska and later to Kansas. WILLIAM went to Oklahoma. Both brothers ALBERT and PRESTON made it as far as Nebraska and one went Iowa and the other to Tyler or Texarkana Texas.
JASON RAY FIELD married ELIZA MATILDA HARPER 12-25-1883 near Terrhaut Indiana. They had three sons, GROVER C. born 11-6-1884, HARRY EDWARD( my grandfather and the author of this history) 7-17-1891, and RAY C. 9-18-1902. Twins girls were stillborn 18 months later.
HARRY was born near Paris Illinois. They migrated to Harper County Kansas when HARRY was 3 months old. JASON worked for Sante Fe railroad and they rented a three room house in Danville Kansas from a lady whose last name was DENT.Later they bought a home in Danville then moved to a farm close by.JASON purchased a brown horse from a man by the name of TUCKER and a team of mules, wagon and harness for $90.00 from a man by the name of CHARLIE WYCOFF. One red cow was also purchased from McKIVEER. Grandfather JOHN FIELD joined the family here and made his home with them until his death, date not mentioned. GROVER attended high school in Bluff City Kansas and received a certificate to teach, while teaching he attended business school and became a banker in 1909. HARRY was GROVERS student in the 8th grade and completed that year and never went back. In 1917 HARRY met and married ELSIE ARB, they had four children, DELMAR HARRY (my father) b 6-7-1919 d 1-27-1993 buried Claremore OK, married CRYSTAL CULP b 10-27-1923 d 7-27-1985 buried Claremore OK, DALE FIELD, b? died 7-11-2002, married DELORES WINTERS, from Booker Texas. VINNETTA d? buried in Booker Texas married WAYNE HOWARD. VILLETTA d 12-1992 buried in Borger Texas, married ELMER FISH, divorced and married JIM ADAMS.

Any information with where OLIVER is buried, or any of the others would be much appreciated and if I may be of help to someone or find a cousin would be great.
