Bill, yes, I am still online; it's good to hear from you.
Maggie Hyland Lindamood died 13 April 1897 in Neal, Greenwood County, Kansas; per fellow researcher Coleen Coleman. (Coleen had Maggie's mother Mary's maiden name as Urqhart, with a question mark; is there any connection with this name? Thank you for the name Dwyer.)
Maggie and Riley Abram's (my family always referred to him as Riley) daughter Blanche was a teacher, per the 1920 census; she married Charles Harris on 27 Jan 1915 in Greenwood Co. KS; that's all I've been able to find out. Daughter Maud, who remained single, died 14 Sep 1990; she resided in Duarte, California, in 1977.
Maggie and Riley's son Paul was born 21 Feb 1897 in Neal, Greenwood Co., Kansas, so he was just a baby when his mother Maggie died. Paul was married on 9 Dec (1925?) in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Anna Florence Cecile Wallsten. She was born on 6 Dec 1904, and died on 29 Apr 1948. Paul died 4 Apr 1977; both died in Hutchinson, KS, and were buried in Fairlawn Cemetery there.
Paul was living in Woodson Co. KS in the 1900 census w/ Aaron H. Martin (Paul his nephew). Living w/ same uncle in Rush Co. KS in 1910, and in Reno Co. KS in 1920. The census states Aaron’s fa b. OH, mo b. IL; wife Elizabeth was born ca 1862 in IL; her father was born in Ireland, her mother in IL. Per family information from Coleen Coleman, John Hyland was born in Ireland, and his wife Maria possibly in IL, although her family was from Scotland. They had a daughter Elizabeth born ca 1860, possibly in IL, who married Aaron Martin. So it seems that Maggie Hyland Lindamood’s sister Elizabeth Hyland Martin took Maggie’s young son to raise after she died; he was still living with Elizabeth and her husband at the age of 23, and no other children appear in their household in the censuses.
Hope you find this information helpful. Rita
