My mother had a friend in Dodge City by the name of Mabel Hill. I know little else about her except that she took care of me as a newborn while my mother visited her own very ill sister in the hospital in Dodge City. I was born in 1933, so the time period is similar. I believe I have a snapshot of Mabel Hill among the photos left by my mother after her death.
